One of the best things about shooting weddings is working with very talented individuals. Sharon Estrada is awesome friend and very talented cake decorator. I met her while going through culinary school and I had pleasure to work with her in a pastry and baking class. I'm so happy to see her do what she loves. Last week we had her cake featured in our spring vintage stylized shoot. It was a great opportunity to showcase one of her cakes she designed for this wedding season. I'm very excited to work with her in the future. While on my business trip to St. Louis for Shutterfest 2016. I came across a post to photograph a young girl on Shutterfest Facebook group. Within 20 minutes of responding, I was down to the hotel lobby and Photographing her. At first I was a little nervous, I was hoping that there would be a group of us photographers. Nothing was even planned on the direction of the shoot. I just had my camera bag and the freedom to create. I couldn't believe she was only 14 years-old. She is so sweet and very talented young girl. At first I felt like a creeper just me showing up, but her mom was with us the whole time. Thanks to my new friend Anna for assisting me later, I was able to get some great shots. This goes to show that you don't need a full studio to shoot in any location. These images are just beautiful.

Every year the Mirada Magazine puts together a Miss Covergirl pageantry of young ladies. It empowers teenage girls to follow their dreams. This year I have been given the opportunity to document their journey. The girls had a training seminar on President’s day. But, little did they know they had amazing surprise waiting for them outside the Hispanic cultural center from Gentleman Limousine. They got a limo ride of downtown Boise, ID. This tour also consisted of a trip to Ann Morrison Park and the Capitol building. Later In the year one girl will be crowned Miss Covergirl 2014.
For Memorial Day weekend I decided to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah for a destination photo shoot and to see the Dance Company Shaping Sound featuring the stars of “All the Right Moves” and “So you think you can dance”. As an artist, I look for inspiration everywhere I go. The show was amazing and it inspired me to continue my dreams. This is a Must-see! While Visiting I got to meet some of the cast of Shaping Sound.
A celebrity judge from Food Network's "Chopped,” rolled into Boise for multiple appearances. I had the privilege to work as a production assistant for her future reality show. She appeared at A’ Tavola to sign copies of her new cookbook, “Flavors of my world”. After, we headed to Westside Drive-in to judge a culinary Competition for young culinary students, which is part of “The cutting edge tour”, 31 days -21 cities and more than 65 events. We then ended the day at Barbacoa were fans tried her cuisine partnered by the local chef. All the attendees received a signed cook book, a specialty cocktail, a 4-course meal, and wine pairing. The production crew was very friendly and gave me a lot of insight to the industry. Maneet Chauhan is a true inspiration and she gave me great words of wisdom. I wish her all the best and her crew in their future success. Earlier today my two sisters and I had a Ballet Folklorico Show for a Retirement Facility in boise, ID. It was a joy to share the preforming arts of Mexico. So I decided to do a small shoot for this special occasion of Cinco de Mayo. I hope you enjoy this Jalisco inspired image of my Sister Vanessa.
Couple weeks back, I was asked to make a floral arrangement for the Virgen de Guadalupe. But, I thought I would make a couple more arrangements instead of just making one. I love working with flowers and donating my time to the community of St. Paul's Catholic Church. The flowers were displayed at the Dedication Mass for the new St. Paul's church on Sunday, April 21, 2013.
